I’ve been a long-time powder foundation devotee, but the other day I got a hankering to go back to liquid. It’s been several years since the last time I purchased a liquid foundation, but I think I got bit by the foundation testing bug because my sister’s been testing different foundations in search of the perfect wedding day makeup. She had nothing but good things to say about the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, so I figured that was a good place to start. I went with the Matte and Poreless version for normal to oily skin in shade 112 Natural Ivory. I’ve been using this for a little over a week now, and so far I’m impressed. This is a really good quality foundation for the price.
Years ago, I had a dark circle-correcting product that I loved: the Bright Eyes – Eye Enhancing Treatment by Skinn Cosmetics. I loved that stuff so much I used it up, but I never repurchased it because it’s expensive and not easy to get. (I had received it as part of a gift set.)
What I liked about the Skinn product:
1) It had a smooth, hydrating consistency that felt more like skin care than makeup.
2) It blended seamlessly into the skin rather than sitting on top of it.
3) It had a peachy/pink colour that worked well to counteract darkness under the eyes.
I’ve long searched the drugstore shelves for a similar product, and I’m happy to report that I finally found one!
