Review: Urban Decay On the Run Palette

Standard

I’m pretty sure when the jailer man and sailor Sam were searching everyone, they were looking for this:

The “On the Run” palette from Urban Decay. I was lucky enough to receive this as a birthday gift from my sister (thanks Nicole!), but I would gladly fork over my hard-earned dollars for it if I hadn’t. I’ve been using this over the past few days and really enjoying it. It’s perfect for those rushed, barely coherent mornings before work.

The goods:

170115 012With this palette you get 6 all-new eyeshadows in very wearable shades. I love them all, and the quality is exceptional. I generally love UD shadows anyway, but what’s noteworthy about these is that the sparkly shades don’t drop chunks of glitter all over my face! Epic winning!

170115 020You also get a blush and bronzer duo. I really like the blush. It’s a vibrant pink with a hint of shimmer. Don’t be put off by the brightness in the pan. I apply it sparingly with a duo fiber brush and find it gives a nice pop of colour to the cheeks without being too much. The bronzer is a bit too warm for my fair skin, but I’ve been using it as a shadow to warm up the crease.

Along with the powder products, you also get a deluxe sample size of the Perversion mascara. I am already planning to buy this in full size. It builds up volume and drama very quickly and doesn’t clump, flake or smudge. I’m hooked! To round out the look, they give you a mini 24/7 Liner in “Stag,” which is a very dark brown with a bit of shimmer. I really like the shade. It’s dark and smokey without being as harsh as black. You also get a full size Naked lip gloss in “Sesso,” which is great everyday shade that will suit most anyone. (Swatches of the liner and lip gloss are in the first swatch pic.)

Overall, I’d say this palette is a must for both seasoned Urban Decay fans and newbies that want to sample a good range of products from the brand.
