I love the formula of the Make Up For Ever Artist shadows. They’re smooth, ultra creamy and oh-so-pigmented. The metallic finish ones are my absolute favourite, but they’re all good. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to try a few more of these shadows, and opportunity knocked in the form of a really economical palette!* If you don’t fancy buying a bunch of singles, MUFE has come out with a couple of palettes, one neutral and one bright. I got the neutral one.
I’d been stalking this palette online for months before I finally decided to buy it. Or rather, I got my sister to decide for me because I just couldn’t. I kept going back and forth, putting it in my cart on Sephora.com and then taking it back out. On the one hand, I had read several positive reviews and really liked the looks of the shades. But on the other hand, did I really need another basic nudes palette in my life?
If you enjoy a hazy, brown smokey eye that’s not too warm and not too dark, then you will likely find a place for this palette in your routine. I’ve used it several times since I got it, and I really do enjoy it. Read on for swatches and my specific thoughts on this palette.
Heads up Naked 3 fans! If you’re into rosy hues and taupes, then you might want to check out the NYX Dream Catcher Palette in “Dusk Til Dawn.” I just picked this up today and haven’t tried it on my eyes yet, but it passed the initial swatch test with flying colours. All ten shades are silky smooth and nicely pigmented. I’m going to have a lot of fun this one.
I’m pretty sure when the jailer man and sailor Sam were searching everyone, they were looking for this:
The “On the Run” palette from Urban Decay. I was lucky enough to receive this as a birthday gift from my sister (thanks Nicole!), but I would gladly fork over my hard-earned dollars for it if I hadn’t. I’ve been using this over the past few days and really enjoying it. It’s perfect for those rushed, barely coherent mornings before work.
